Adam Widdowson

Engineer & Designer - Additive Manufacturing

Intro

Hi,  I'm Adam.

I love all things 3D Printing, or as it's known in the industry 'Aditive Manufacturing'.

This site is to serve as a brief portfolio of some of my work which I am allowed to talk about (the majority is covered by NDAs).

Below is a mix of personal projects alongside marketing projects.  NDAs prevent me from talking about the majority of my work, if you want a summary of what I get up to please contact me or download my CV:

Sample Pack

Whilst working for Printing Portal I took it upon myself to design the company's first sample pack.  The pack aims to support sales by briefly introducing all of the services & 3D Printing materials on offer to both new & existing customers.

My design work included the:

- 3D Printed Parts

- Packaging

- Booklet (Graphics, Content & Photos)

- Webpage

A box filled with interesting 3D printed samples. They are different colours & surface finishes.

Voronoi Wall Panel

Eyecatching 3.5m tall 3D Printed panel

Designed to attract attention to the 3t-am trade stand, I designed this panel with close co-ordination with the assembly workshop.

A large wall panel with an intricate lattice pattern. It stands about 3.5m tall.
A 3D Printed model of a small gun & tool from a video game.

Video Game Props

Using only screenshots from the game 'Hunt Showdown' I reproduced 1:1 scale models of tools & weapons from the game.

These models got significant attention from the gaming comunity after I released the 3D files for download.  I have also been collaborating with another creator to offer printed & painted versions of the models for sale.

Custom Watch Holder

Unique to every customer

Leverages AM's unique advantage of no tooling, allowing the stand to match each user's wrist size.

Utilises new technologies

BASF's TPU01 material is still relatviely new, it allows flexible products to be printed with powder bed 3D printing.

A watch holder 3D printed. It has two main parts connected by a lattice shape. It is a grainly grey colour & texture.
